Resumen

 La rehabilitación en el contexto de cirugía de salvamento en sarcomas de tejidos blandos requiere un enfoque específico dadas sus características únicas. Esta tiene como objetivo valorar y aumentar la funcionalidad del paciente en la medida de lo posible. Aún no hay consenso en cuanto a protocolos de rehabilitación posterior a esta cirugía. Aquí se presenta una revisión de la literatura más actualizada para establecer las posibles intervenciones en el tratamiento rehabilitador. El potencial restaurativo de la cirugía de salvamento puede aumentar de manera significativa con un manejo en rehabilitación desde el inicio del proceso. Las recomendaciones en rehabilitación son variadas, no obstante, cada paciente presenta características únicas por lo que el tratamiento debe individualizarse. Es fundamental contar un equipo multidisciplinario y con escalas de calidad de vida y de funcionalidad, como el Toronto Extremity Salvage Score, para valorar la adecuada evolución de los pacientes
