Research at UNIBE

Host Research Site program

We believe research is an integral part of academic development. At UNIBE re-search is conducted by a multidisciplinary team of specialist, graduated students and over 100 allied health professionals working in hospital and healthcare facilities all dedicated to improve the training of students in health science through research.

Results are made available to the public through scientific publication in local and International journals. However, to facilitate the dissemination of research by young scientist, UNIBE also published on online journal as a platform for our faculty and graduating students to make their work available to the public.

UNIBE ‘s interest in integrative and multidisciplinary work result in a strong collaboration between researchers in our four schools: Medicine, Pharmacy , Nursing and Psychology. Likewise, as part of its global initiative, UNIBE strongly encourages collaboration between our local investigators and international researches, as well.

In order to facilitate collaboration, we have developed the Host Research Site program. The main objective of this program is to provide all the necessary facilities for global researches to conduct research at UNIBE while collaborating with local faculty.

As a part of this program, UNIBE will provide the following services to invited researches: office space with high speed internet connectivity, lab space, Spanish tutors (If needed), transportation from and to the University from researcher’s house, meals within the university and assistance with immigration procedures. We will also provide secretarial services. The visiting professional is responsible for housing cost, weekend meals, health insurance and international travel expenses.

To promote collaboration with visiting researchers to work and mentor one or two of our local faculty who will become part of the research project. Collaboration should be recognized in publications and presentations in symposia. Additionally, we ask our international collaboration to recognize UNIBE´s contribution in any published material. We also encourage visiting professional to present a seminar to local academic community.
